The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is a World Heritage archaeological property.

Documented place and context#

UNESCO identifies the terracotta figures with the first Qin emperor’s mausoleum complex. This is a funerary landscape with multiple archaeological elements, not a statement that the emperor’s burial chamber is part of an ordinary visitor route. A site-wide estimate of surviving figures is not the number visible in a ticketed exhibition.

Planning your visit#

Choose the specific museum or archaeological area you intend to visit, and check the actual admission notice. Distinguish the excavated figures, their conservation and explanatory reconstructions. Do not assume a city tour, museum admission and transport between sites are one product. The terracotta army introduction gives historical context rather than a current booking guarantee.

Scope#

This focused introduction is not a complete city itinerary or a personal visit report. The planning questions are editorial. Current prices, fixed travel times, accommodation suitability and operating schedules require confirmation with the relevant provider.
