Gongleyuan in Zhuhai’s Tangjiawan was formerly Tang Shaoyi’s private garden.

Documented place and context#

Guangdong’s forestry authority describes the garden within its account of the Tangjiawan ancient-tree group. The historical association and the presence of protected trees help explain this landscape; they do not establish current tree counts, visitor access to every area or a daily programme of events.

Planning your visit#

Use 共乐园 and 唐家湾 when identifying the destination. A garden walk, a historic-house visit and a temporary festival should be planned separately. Follow the signs around protected trees and check any closure notice. A past lantern-festival announcement does not establish that an evening display operates throughout the year.
