A March 2026 procurement notice identifies Xinjiang Museum at 581 Xibei Road in Urumqi.
Documented place and context#
The institution’s procurement notice concerns design and installation services for four proposed themed exhibitions involving material from other provincial museums. Proposed gallery allocations in that document are plans, not proof that those exhibitions opened, remain available or include every advertised collection highlight.
Planning your visit#
Save 新疆维吾尔自治区博物馆 and 西北路581号 when identifying the institution. Read the museum’s current exhibition announcement before arranging a visit for a particular object. Distinguish the organizing museum, the lending museum and the actual venue. A procurement deadline or contract description is not a visitor opening date.
Scope#
This focused introduction is not a full city itinerary or a personal visit report. Planning questions are editorial suggestions. Current prices, transport, entry requirements and operating arrangements require confirmation with the institution or provider.
