The United Nations marks International Nowruz Day on 21 March. This international observance does not by itself establish a local event’s programme or every community’s calendar arrangements.
Planning and interpretation#
For an event in China, identify the community, organizer and year. Do not infer China’s participation in a particular multinational UNESCO inscription from the fact that communities in China celebrate Nowruz. Check the actual heritage record before making that separate claim.
