UNESCO lists the Nanxun Section of Jiangnan Canal as a component of the Grand Canal World Heritage property.

Documented place and context#

The UNESCO geographical table names that component separately from the Jiaxing–Hangzhou canal section. A mapped canal component does not make every historic house, shop or modern visitor facility in Nanxun part of the inscribed property.

Planning your visit#

Check the component map when assessing a heritage claim. For a town visit, save the named bridge, street or institution and check its own access information. Distinguish a canal-side walk from entry to a private museum or garden. World Heritage status does not establish a combined ticket or a boat schedule.

Scope#

This focused introduction is not a full city itinerary or a personal visit report. Planning questions are editorial suggestions. Current prices, transport and operating arrangements require confirmation with the named institution or provider.
