Chongqing’s August 2026 visitor account connects the old Hongya Gate name with a current commercial and sightseeing complex near Jiefangbei. It describes an architectural design drawing on stilt-house traditions. The building’s traditional style should not be mistaken for evidence that the entire complex survives from an ancient period.
