The study discusses planning, institutions, engineering and implementation. Its historical figures should not be presented as current network totals or today’s passenger timetable.
Checking a comparison#
For a journey, check the actual train, station, date and ticket rules through the operator. For a statistical comparison, identify whether a number refers to route length, operating speed, services or passenger journeys. Do not infer that every service uses the maximum design speed.
