Guzang should be described through a named Miao community rather than a generic annual “drum festival”.

A specific heritage reference#

The Rongjiang account describes ancestor commemoration involving wooden drums and a thirteen-year cycle. This is a documented Rongjiang description, not a universal timetable for every Miao community.

Before attending#

Ask for the village, organizer and year before planning a visit. Confirm whether a particular ceremony is open to visitors. Do not infer that a cultural account grants access to a household or ritual space.

Scope#

The planning questions are editorial suggestions. This introduction does not supply a current booking, visitor invitation or a schedule for every community.
