A named recipe is evidence of one preparation, not proof of a single universal Dinghu Shangsu formula.

A specific source#

In a January 2024 column, chef Li Wenji presents a mushroom-based Dinghu Shangsu with a separately prepared vegetable stock. That is the author’s example; this introduction does not copy the recipe or claim it proves the dish’s historical origin.

Questions about the actual meal#

Ask the kitchen which mushrooms, vegetables, stock and sauce appear in its own version. A dish title does not establish a fixed ingredient count, a temple origin story or a quantified health benefit.

Scope#

The questions are editorial suggestions. A published example does not certify another kitchen’s ingredients, current operation or dietary suitability. No recipe instructions or source images are reproduced here.
