Place and documented context#
A February 2023 report published by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism describes Dazhai in the Longji terrace scenic area and reports its inclusion in the 2022 Best Tourism Villages selection. That is a dated tourism recognition, not a UNESCO World Heritage inscription or a certification of every accommodation business.
Planning your visit#
Use 大寨村 together with 龙胜 and 龙脊 when sharing an address; Dazhai is not a unique place name across China. Ask about the final approach to your guesthouse and where a driver should wait. Treat the fields as working land and ask before entering a path that crosses cultivated plots.
