The Ministry of Commerce’s 2025 service guide includes Alipay among mobile-payment options. Registration and card linking do not guarantee every transaction or feature will be available.
Setup checklist#
Use the official app distribution channel. Follow its identity and card verification prompts, checking the name and card details before submission. Do not send verification codes to someone offering to activate an account for you.
Before paying#
Read the merchant name, amount, currency and displayed fee before confirming. Check the provider and your card issuer for current limits and charges. Keep a backup payment method available if a transaction is declined.
